"The car was so to speak on the border strip in the Zimmer Straße, near the Adler cafe on the corner of Friedrich Straße. It looked like someone was living in it. I found it a rather curious way to live, or cope with the shortage of accommodation. Getting hold of a flat was no easy task at the time."
