Original Caption

"Even the old road link between Tann or Theobaldshof/Knottenhof and the Thuringian Andenhaus/Empfertshausen and Dermbach was re-built in no time at all. Thuringians from Feldatal (especially from the town of Dermbach) broke through the border fortification on 27 November 1989. The picture shows how the citizens of the town of Tann welcome them at the crossing which re-opened a few days later."
